This is a training of trainers that covers the issues of law enforcement suicide prevention to include: statistics, the role of leadership, stigma and barriers to getting help, signs and indicators, depression, how to intervene and provide assistance to an officer in crisis. The students return to their departments and provide in-service suicide prevention awareness trainings.

The Safe City Commission seeks training and technical assistance (TTA) to develop an action plan for Project Safe Neighborhood (PSN) programs in Tarrant County, TX. This assistance will combine research, data, and action to create a comprehensive and sustainable plan to support effective crime prevention and crime reduction programs in Tarrant County.

Justin Noland will also serve as Project Coordinator, and have managing oversight of the project, including outreach efforts, content development, and the punctual delivery of objectives. Justin will provide all status updates and program reporting outside of financial reports. MedicAlert estimates that 5% of his time will be devoted solely to this project. Brian Graves will track all finances, prepare and submit financial reports to DOJ. MedicAlert will cover all of Brian Graves’ expenses related to this project. Corrine Eddy will coordinate daily project management and logistics.
