The West Memphis (AR) VRN site has requested Blue Courage training for its police force.
The training program is designed to explore the concepts and principals of partnerships. The intent is to inspire leaders, managers and supervisors within law enforcement toward a new emerging leadership model of a collaboration between police and the public. The Blue Courage training presents from a public safety perspective and focuses on growth, change and self discovery.
This is a training of trainers that covers the issues of law enforcement suicide prevention to include: statistics, the role of leadership, stigma and barriers to getting help, signs and indicators, depression, how to intervene and provide assistance to an officer in crisis. The students return to their agencies and provide awareness training to the staff.

The Bureau of Justice Assistance requested that BJA NTTAC pay travel expenses for subject matter experts to attend the two-day BWC Expert Panel. The SMEs will discuss BWC policy and practices, and information shared will support BJA's development of the BWC online toolkit.

The New Rochelle Police Department requests the Polis Solutions two-day (16 hour) Tactical Human Dynamics course to improve officers’ skills in social interactions and community trust-building. The Tactical Human Dynamics course is the only police training program that simultaneously addresses the perceptual, cognitive, and behavioral dimensions of social interaction. I am requesting an audit of the training provided by my agency to my pre-service and in-service personnel. I am interested in the extent to which our training reflects the best practices and desired outcomes as described in the recommendations from the Presidents Task force on 21st Century Policing, the COPS office and the best practices as developed by Washington State Academy' Sue Rohr.
I would be interested in on-site study, training and curriculum development assistance as needed.
