The West Bend, Wisconsin Police Department (PD), in conjunction with the Green Bay, Wisconsin Police Department, requested 7 Habits of Highly Successful People for Law Enforcement training for up to 80 officers. Deputy Chief Stan Gragg was selected to fulfill the request and provided the three-day training to 54 officers within the West Bend PD and Green Bay PD on March 14 - 16, 2017 and May 17 - 19, 2017, respectively.

In May 2013, the Bureau of Justice (BJA), in partnership with the CNA Corporation, developed Managing Large-Scale Security Events: A Planning Primer for Local Law Enforcement Agencies (Planning Primer) to help guide local governments as they prepare for large-scale security events. BJA requested assistance in updating the Planning Primer based on the planning of the 2016 Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Ohio on July 18 - 21, 2016 and the 2016 Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on July 25 - 28, 2016.

CNA assisted BJA and IIR in 2016 VRN Spring Summit planning activities (e.g., participating in planning meetings and conference calls, reviewing summit materials, developing SSL summit guidance). During the summit, CNA support facilitation through the three SSLs, as well as, guidance and note taking through three CNA analyst/staff. After the summit, CNA developed a summary of summit takeaways for the BJA VRN team.

As the first cohort of VRN sites has approached the end of its VRN engagement, CNA has focused on helping them develop sustainable, evidence-based violence reduction strategies and practices. CNA conducted a sustainability webinar in April and a workshop in DC in May.

SME Mark Kraft provided West Memphis VRN and Little Rock VRN with TTA around firearms tracing, eTrace, the exploitation of trace data to identify crime gun sources, and the integration of tracing data with NIBIN in criminal investigations. SME Kraft also providing in-service training to Little Rock VRN.
