Call with office to discuss survey
Confirmed current POC's - high turnover within the ME DPS. First call was held 7/6 but was mostly a conversation on who BJA/RTI is. Site coordinators are very new and are still learning about their grant. Will be meeting again before the fall to review COSSAP activities.
During the June working group meetings, a series of polls was presented to statewide participants regarding their challenges, successes, and COSSAP interests so far. Jordan Crummett, the ORS TTA provider, was also present.
During the May 2022 statewide working group meeting, sites continued to introduce themselves to other states and began to brainstorm topics that they would like to discuss during subsequent WG meetings.
Check-in call to see how the NM COSSAP project is progressing, introduce the site to the new BJA Policy Advisor, and identify any needs towards assisting with their goals.
Introductory email sent to listed POC. Current POC was confirmed. First call will be 5/16.
The State-based Grantees Working Group provides a space for COSSAP sites to share their experiences, challenges, and be able to present on the specific issues their sites face, if interested. In this inaugural meeting, we focused on introductions from the TTA team and the sites to grow understanding across these grantees about the varying projects.
The Rural Opioid Technical Assistance (ROTA) grantees joined RROE folks in March for a cross-rural webinar. Sites introduced themselves and heard a little bit about each other's work and missions. Not much time was available to discuss programs, but Naloxone access was discussed among both grants, and the ROTA folks checked in with each other as well.
Regular calls did not happen in January or March due to external conferences and/or an all-RROE webinar, which sites were encouraged to attend. February and April discussions concentrated on sites' enduring challenges and successes, as well as discussions of sustainability as the POP ends this September. Many sites have long-term data at this point on ODMap, are doing drug takeback programs, and have started the process of getting MAT into incarceration facilities.
