Over the month of July, CSG Justice Center staff provided office-based technical assistance to support non-SCA grantees and projects. Staff conducted approximately 13 phone calls and 10 NRRC Helpline requests.
Over the month of July, CSG Justice Center staff provided office-based technical assistance to Second Chance Act grantees and responded to inquiries from the field. Staff conducted approximately 124 phone calls and 52 emails.
The Urban Institute serves as the main point of contact for the Justice Reinvestment Initiative for potential sites. In that role, Urban monitors a JRI email address, through which it fields questions from potential JRI sites. Interested groups may also reach out via phone. Urban also responds to media inquiries and general questions from academics and practitioners about JRI.
Steering committee members participated in a call to discuss emerging strategies for addressing behavioral health at the state level, Virginia's Phase I Letter of Interest, and partner updates.

The Jefferson County, Alabama Sheriff's Office requested a system assessment. The requestor withdrew the request.
Request assistance in evaluating our current system and to look at making system alterations, for a reduction in FTA's that are generated for individuals that are released from the Jefferson County, AL Jail.
1. Improved options to provide information to the individuals bonding out of jail.
2. Options to update technology to alert individuals to court dates.
3. Looking at other ways to reduce FTA's --Pre-diversion options.
