The PRC will operate an assistance request form on its website and will respond to assistance requests by engaging with jurisdictions, assessing what services are appropriate, and meeting the needs of the requesting organization as resources allow. All data regarding the interaction will be tracked in the PRC's information database. Full assistance cases will be reported as individual TTAs.
The PRC processed/closed 13 Request for Assistance cases between June - December 2022.

Community Mental Health Authority of Clinton, Eaton, Ingham Counties (CEICMH) also known as House of Commons, located at 812 East Jolly Rd Lansing, Michigan 48910. CEICMH is an all-male facility with a capacity rating of 40, and residents range from 18-55+ years of age. Pre-pandemic the facility on average would have 35 residents. Currently the facility has 16 residents but they anticipate the population to steadily increase back to 35. CEICMH has a contract with Michigan Office of Community Corrections (OCC).

Durham County Sheriff?s Office (DCSO), located at 219 S Mangum St, Durham, NC 27701 requested coaching for the PREA coordinator and team. TA will consist of providing an understanding of the PREA standards, the role of the PREA coordinator and how to prepare for an audit. The PREA Coordinator, SSG Cusher, is new to this position and is requesting coaching assistance to ensure that she is fully educated on the operational process of the PREA standards and specifically audit process and how to prepare for an audit.

The Los Angeles Police Department operates six (6) temporary holding facilities across the City
of Los Angeles. The previous PREA Coordinator retired, and Sgt. Meredith Cline is the new PREA
Coordinator, assigned as a collateral duty. Sgt. Cline has 27 years with LAPD, but is relatively
new to PREA and the standard requirements. She is committed to keeping the people in LAPD
custody safe and seeks to understand the PREA standards and their operationalization in a
lockup setting.

CAWS North Dakota a coalition made of member programs working on DV/SA prevention and intervention is holding a Sexual Assault Institute on Sept. 28-29 and would like to have a segment on PREA. JDI will present at the conference. The conference attendees include

Requesting The Moss Group to present two sessions at the Annual National PREA Coordinator Conference on August 3-4 at Southern University in New Orleans, Louisiana.

This general OAS Q&A session was an opportunity to ask any and all questions related to the PREA Online Audit System

The PRC's OAS Team hosted a webinar demonstration of the Online Audit System from the PREA Coordinator and PREA Compliance Manager?s perspective, including how to respond to measures, upload evidence, submit the PAQ, and tips and tricks on how to maximize efficacy and efficiency in the OAS. There was also an opportunity for targeted questions, answers, and feedback related to the OAS.

This webinar walks participants through the newly revised Site Review Instructions - which have been updated to better guide auditors in conducting a comprehensive site review. We also preview the Site Review Checklist - a new tool that auditors may use to support documentation of evidence gathered during the site review.
