In this program, Training & Technical Assistance is provided by partner coaches with The Moss Group, Just Detention International, and Activating Change. Employees of the partner agencies act as coaches to facilities and agencies who have received BJA grants in FY 19, FY 20, FY 21, and FY 22 for Implementing the PREA standards, protecting inmates, and safeguarding communities. Coaches provide guidance on developing an implementation guide for the use of awarded funds, budget approval, and technical assistance related to the PREA standards and their implementation.

The PRC executed the decertification process when decertification of an auditor was issued by DOJ. 22 auditors were decertified and 2 auditors voluntarily surrendered their certification between January and June 2022.

Operated the Path Back to Certification program for auditors who had previously failed recertification and had been allowed by the PREA Management Office to take part in this program. Tasks associated with running the Path Back program include communicating with PMO and auditors enrolled in the program; creating, assigning, and monitoring coursework and small group educational sessions; enrolling auditors in exams; and tracking their progress throughout the program's run.

Operated the recertification process for auditors who were due to be recertified on June 30, 2022. This includes communicating with auditors on a regular basis, tracking completion of recertification requirements, and administering the recertification exam, in addition to coordinating with the PREA Management Office to send status notices to auditors.

Between January 1, 2022 and June. 30, 2022, 55 auditors were processed through the recertification process. The final outcomes were 22 auditors recertified and 9 went or will remain inactive.
