TA: Proactive/Preemptive TA and Responsive/Reactive TA​​

The subaward criteria will focus on leadership staff with lived and/or shared experiences with the criminal justice system and the community they serve. This elevates the voices of those best positioned to educate policymakers

Provide technical assistance that teaches strategies for improving collaboration between Community Partners and corrections, parole, probation, local reentry coalitions, other local reentry service providers, and stakeholders.

Train Community Partner staff in validated criminogenic risk assessments and their uses, as well as on evidenced-based needs assessments.

Build the administrative, operational, and organizational capacity of subawardees to serve the target population effectively

Make award (subgrant) recommendations to DOJ that target organizations with less than 10 staff and/or an organizational budget of less than $500,000. This criterion strengthens communities by focusing on reentry community and faith-based organizations (CFBOs) that can best benefit from TA, subawards and oversight to improve their organizational development

Provide 20 subawards to small, grassroots organizations in both urban and rural communities.

The FY 2024 CTAS Open Office Hours Session 2 was offered to tribes interested in applying for CTAS funding. During the open office hours, tribes were encouraged to ask any questions they may have as they complete their applications.

The FY 2024 CTAS Solicitation Open Office Hours offer dedicated time for CTAS webinar attendees to follow up with questions post webinar.

This webinar provided attendees with an opportunity to walk through the JustGrants application screens step by step and to ask questions along the way.
