During this reporting period, 20 submissions were received and processed through the SWB Program Document Upload form and 1 submission via email. Of the 21 submissions during this period:
• 17 were for invoices for reimbursement,
• 1 was an executed extension amendment, and
• 3 were completed post-implementation evaluations.

IIR continued to utilize the Smartsheet subaward process tracker for recording and monitoring subaward status activity, which was also reported to BJA on weekly status conference calls. BJA was also provided with real-time access to the Smartsheet SWB dashboard that provides data illustrations on the initial applications as well as statuses on the subaward process activity, including a subaward allocation overview. In addition, IIR provided ongoing access to the SWB dashboard and held weekly status conference calls with BJA.

With the application period closed in July 2020, no further application submission activity occurred on the SWB website. However, the website was retained for purposes of providing answers to frequently asked questions or to provide a communication option for subaward recipients via the “Contact Us page.”

During this reporting period, the SWB website received 299 page views, 178 sessions, and 160 unique users.

Tribal Law Specialist, Catherine Retana at TLPI attended the 2024 Emerging Issues Conference in Seattle, WA. She briefly met with the Seminole Nation Tribal Court staff and introduced herself and provided her business card with contact information. She let them know that they should have received a welcome letter from TLPI and that she would be resending it again after the conference to grantees who did not respond.

Shared 75 one-page pamphlets with corrections leaders from across the country at the Correctional Leaders Association in order to inform the Directors and other leaders in attendance of the commencement of the project and upcoming RFP.

NCJFCJ arranged a call with the SAA for North Carolina and she invited a colleague to participate in a call to discuss North Carolina's Byrne SCIP plans. NCJFCJ shared links and resources regarding a number of initiatives the NC is possibly interested in and we offered TTA to further explore opportunities for the use of Byrne SCIP funds.

The MVAI team engaged on the shooting that occurred in Lewiston, ME on October 25th. After determining that the incident warranted engagement based on the number of casualties/injured and the impact to the community, we reached out with information about MVAI services and resources and resources curated for them from the National Mass Violence Victimization Resource Center to:

After determining that the incident warranted engagement based on the number of casualties/injured and the impact to the community, I reached out with information about MVAI services and resources to Sheriff Kevin McMahill, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and Adam Garcia, Vice President of Public Safety Services and Director of University Police Services Southern Command.
