NCSC Project Director reviewed grant application, solicitation, and time and task plan to identify key activities to undertake during this time. Project Director is working on identifying new project positions to be recruited as well as new internal protocols, processes and forms to be created to implement and manage state grantee training and technical assistance requests, non-grantee training and technical assistance requests, and state conference presentation requests.

Actively work with Center for Justice Innovation to transition open projects to the National Center for State Courts, learn about previous years' work, quarterly meetings with state treatment court coordinators, and the online learning community. A key task in this activity is the transfer of treatmentcourts.org from CJI to NCSC. The transfer is the last piece of the transition.

During the first quarter 2023 JSS engaged in the following activities as part of its start-up for the overall project: 1) The Executive Project Director selected additional JSS staff to work on the project; 2) JSS met with the BJA Policy Advisor on a weekly basis to plan and discuss elements of the Small, Rural and Tribal Body-Worn Camera Program ; 3) JSS staff programmed an application portal and revised the application instructions for the next round applications to the micro-grant program; 4) JSS staff announced the microgrant program and 5) JSS staff began promoting the micro-grant pro

Since October, NCSC has attended monthly meetings of the Treatment Court TTA Collaborative including a full-day in-person convening in November. The NCSC Project Director has been meeting regularly with the BJA Policy Advisors to learn more about the role and expectations of the TTA Collaborative.

During the month of December 2023 JSS engaged in the following activities as part of its start-up for the overall project: 1) The Executive Project Director selected JSS staff to work on the project; 2) JSS met with the BJA Policy Advisor on a weekly basis to plan and discuss elements of the National Body-Worn Camera Partnership Program ; 3) JSS staff conducted a webinar for grantees; and 4) JSS staff received and began review of proposals for 41 category 1 grantees, 5 category 2 grantees and 6 category 3-5 grantees from the BJA Policy Advisor.
