CJI assisted the Department of Corrections (DOC) and the Pardon and Parole Board (PPB) in the preparation and implementation of the administrative parole policy.

The St. Louis, Missouri National Public Safety Partnership (PSP) site requested assistance with trauma informed policing. BJA NTTAC supported a multidisciplinary team of subject matter experts from the New Haven, Connecticut PD and Yale University to assist St. Louis PD in planning a trauma-informed policing initiative.

Monthly check-in meeting with Jefferson County. Presented information on upcoming trainings out of SAKI TTA, gathered info on storage of anonymous kits, entering cases in ViCAP and successes/challenges of ViCAP, and using SAKI funding for genealogy/Parabon testing.

Chicago Police Department requests

Chicago Police Department (PD) requested on-site and remote technical assistance from Joan Brody to develop a FFY18 grant strategy, identify new FFY18 public and private grant opportunities, and provide guidance on approaches for future grant submissions. The requestor withdrew the request.

Meeting with full learning collaborative team in order to move forward with recommendations for criminal justice system improvements.
