During this call, CSG Justice Center staff spoke with Reentry Coordinator John Chetti of the Orange County Sheriff's Office about resources that may be useful for the county in straightening the connections to care for people with MI, SUD and COD who are being released from jail and in need of community-based treatment.

JSO would like to be connected with peer to peer help that can assist them with both research correlating a suspect?s criminal history with being the perpetrator of a sexual assault as well as understanding how to implement a lawfully owed DNA policy and database. They want to understand how to prioritize the results by probability of committing a sexual assault.
Peer-to-peer connection with Duluth SAKI as well as providing examples of MOUs and releases that we have available.

In response to a request from Commissioner Beshear, staff from the CSG Justice Center joined a call with Commissioner Beshear and her staff to discuss national trends in competency to stand trial and specific challenges faced by Alabama. CSG?JC staff provided national study from NASMHPD as follow-up for an upcoming presentation Mr.?Klinner will be developing.?
