La Crosse County, Wisconsin requested specialized training to promote research driven-based practices gleaned from its participation in the National Institute of Corrections (NIC) Evidence Based Decision Making Phase VI program to local corrections practitioners. The Carey Group was selected to fulfill the request and provided the two-day training to 10 local justice practitioners in La Crosse, Wisconsin on February 21-22, 2018.

La Crosse County, Wisconsin requested specialized training to promote evidence-based practices gleaned from its participation in the National Institute of Corrections (NIC) Evidence Based Decision Making Phase VI program to local corrections practitioners. La Crosse identified the Carey Group as a potential train-the-trainer provider for approximately ten personnel. BJA NTTAC is currently working with the Carey Group to determine whether it can fulfill this request, which will be transferred to the Option Year 1 (OY1) contract.

The Bureau of Justice Assistance requested support to fund travelers to the Justice Reinvestment Forum hosted at the Pew Charitable Trusts. BJA NTTAC provided travel support for 18 travelers participate in the Forum on January 12, 2017 in Washington, D.C.

Technical assistance with the implementation of The Drug Market Intervention evidence-based model. This engagement consisted of one day of training, and one day of individual follow-up meetings with stakeholder agencies. Training participants consisted of mainly Camden County Police Department officers (and other ranks), other Camden County personnel, as well as members from the Newark (NJ) VRN site, Wilmington (DE) VRN site, and West Memphis (AR) VRN site.
