The third and final session of the Reducing Housing Barriers to Jail Diversion Community of Practice explored the role that courts, such as specialty courts, can play in facilitating diversion interventions. This session highlighted the different intervention models available through the court systems and their coordination with services, such as Intensive Case Management and embedded clinicians. During this session, participants discussed current jail diversion efforts in their communities and the barriers they face.

Plenary 1: Brain Injury and the Criminal Legal System: Recommendations and Initiatives from the Bureau of Justice Administration

In the final session of this community of practice, participants will understand the importance of sharing outcomes with key stakeholders and discuss strategies to share those outcomes to support program sustainability. Participants will also learn how to tailor evaluation/outcomes to specific audiences by sharing key findings, executive summaries and short briefs highlighting relevant data.

This session (at the JMHCP and C&P grantee virtual symposium) will assist participants with identifying how to turn their goals from their grant initiative into measurable outcomes and explore performance measures outside of recidivism.

This quarterly networking session focused on recent federal policy changes that present new opportunities for enhancing reentry practices through Medicaid and CHIP. This session included a presentation, small group discussion, and Q&A. This session covered Medicaid Section 1115 Reentry Demonstration Opportunity and Consolidated Appropriations Acts of 2023 and 2024.
