Center staff moderate and maintain the “Court Builders” listserv with over 450 practitioners nationally who are planning or operating a community justice project, whether a formal community court or an initiative drawing upon the experiences of community court. In addition to moderating field-generated posting, Center staff post regularly to the listserv, including funding announcements, newly available research, practitioner resources, queries from the field, and promising practices.

In anticipation of implementing courses for incarcerated persons on restorative justice, a MARJ student is completing an externship under the supervision of Professor Kathy Fox at UVM to design the curriculum for two restorative justice courses - one on theory and one on practice.

NCJA facilitated a call with Northeast Region State Administering Agencies (SAAs) to discuss the challenges and successes of implementing Coronavirus Emergency Supplemental Funds (CESF). The call was hosted and led by DE SAA Christian Kervick.This phone call was initiated as a result of SAAs expressing desire to learn more about what their peers were doing with their CESF money.

Following the 2017 survey NCIA conducted on PIECP Reentry Coordination, NCIA will re-survey PIECP Certificate Holders to determine which Certificate Holders are Second Chance Act grantees and determine next steps for potential collaboration wtih DOJ-funded reentry programming. For those Certificate Holders that are not Second Chance Act grantees, NCIA will encourage them to apply for Second Chance Act funding in future years and incorporate their PIE program into their funding applications.

The PRC will operate an assistance request form on its website and will respond to assistance requests by engaging with jurisdictions, assessing what services are appropriate, and meeting the needs of the requesting organization as resources allow. All data regarding the interaction will be tracked in the PRC's information database. Full assistance cases will be reported as individual TTAs.
The PRC processed/closed 21 Requests for Assistance in the period July 1, 2020 - December 31, 2020.

Provide three 90-minute presentations will be provided to the designated staff of the Kadiri House from Jan. 2021 - April 2021. The presentations will be an overview of the PREA Juvenile Facility Standards. Included in the presentations will be resource references available on the PRC website specific to individual standards (documents, webinars, FAQs, etc.) as appropriate.
