The NPF team is working with Charleston Police Department (CPD) on a targeted TTA approach. The project team has worked to help CPD develop some best practice metrics to integrate into their Stat360. At this time time, CPD has paused work with CS360.

Mount Dora Police Department (MDPD) is continuing their CS360 project this reporting period. However, the project was put on hold for the beginning of 2021 until an official appointment of Chief of Police was made. MDPD re-engaged with NPF in April after Chief Meade was officially appointed as chief. A comprehensive remote site visit took place at the end of this reporting period and will continue into the next reporting period of July 2021. After the assessment, the NPF team will work with MDPD to determine next steps for implementing CS360.

Mount Hope Police Department (MHPD) has continued to engage with the CS360 project team and has been moving the program along. MHPD remains the smallest department engaged with CS360. NPF rolled out the community survey and the officer perceptions survey. The NPF project team and the research team also put together some proposed metrics for MHPD based on Governor Cuomo’s Executive Order requiring police agencies to increase meaningful engagement with the community. The survey reports were provided to MHPD in March 2021.

In this reporting period, the project team is continuing to engage with Raleigh Police Department (RPD) with targeted technical training and technical assistance to enhance their efforts to measure their community policing efforts. The project team reviewed RPD’s strategic plan to identify recommended community metrics. The project team and the research team also worked with RPD to develop a community satisfaction survey that they could administer at community events that RPD is hosting or a part of.

The NPF team worked with the West Haven Police Department (WHPD) in early 2020; however, organizational priorities shifted due to a change in leadership in the department. The department decided not to proceed with CS360 in August 2020.

In this reporting period, the NPF team continues to work with Clemson University Police Department (CUPD). NPF conducted a community assessment with stakeholders from Clemson University and the broader Clemson City University. Through BJA funding, NPF assisted CUPD in establishing a community Advisory Team (AT) that would prioritize problems and establish and nominate problem-solving team members. NPF provided a workshop to the AT to orient the members to the CS360 process and explain the roles and responsibilities of the AT.

During this reporting period, NPF has continued to work with Baltimore Police Department (BPD) to enhance their community policing efforts. In January 2021, the NPF team completed the dashboard for BPD of community activities, 311, and proactive policing. The project team also has reviewed and provided feedback on BPD's SARA form, community engagement form and current compliance metrics. NPF held a CS360 Problem Solving workshop with BPD leadership and provided an overview on how CS360 can continue to help in their community policing efforts.

On 10/15/2020 NJC participated in a virtual meeting with BJA officials, TCAP TTA Partners TJI and CCI, and CTAS PA3 TTA providers TLPI, RurALCAP, APPA and FVTC for the quarterly TTA providers coordination call to address coordination among providers to ensure TTA and other deliverables are inclusive of abilities and efforts by all tribal TTA providers, and to address further coordination efforts and schedule future coordination calls.
