The University of Alabama at Birmingham Treatment Alternatives for Safer Communities requested an assessment of the Jefferson County court system to address the rate of failures to appear. The Pretrial Justice Institute was selected to fulfill the request. The requestor withdrew the request.
The Killeen, Texas Police Department requested training and technical assistance on Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design concepts. The Virginia Center for Policing Innovation (VCPI) was selected to fulfill the request. VCPI delivered one two-day training and one day of technical assistance on CPTED concepts to Killeen PD on October 29-31, 2019.
