Grantee asked us to provide the incoming Sheriff of Clark County, OH information about the National Sheriff's Institute and Building Bridges Three application.
The grantee requested more information about hiring peers inside jails. Rulo staff provided the Peer Toolkit from BJA during the chat. The grantee will also be linked with Altarum if there are additional resources the TTA provider can offer.
Grantee is looking for information on ways to better track data on their naloxone vending machines. There are several machines located throughout Franklin County, OH, and the grantee is having trouble with the surveys and demographic information being logged when an individual extracts a naloxone kit. We will work to ask other sites with vending machines how they track data and provide a connection when possible.
Finance contact Sara Drumm wanted some feedback on a financial GAM and requested a quick meeting to ask questions. The meeting lasted about 15 minutes and I was able to provide advice based on past experience with financial GAMs. Sara is going to resubmit the GAM after reviewing additional paperwork with her internal team.
Boone County Health Department is considering attending the LaSalle County MAT Mentor Site Visit in August. They are looking to be connected to the Superintendent at the Jail to ask some preliminary questions and get some feedback. Boone County is located very close to LaSalle, and it is a good use to time to connect the two entities.
Dr. Miller reached out to request a site visit for the Gallatin Police Department (TN) to LaSalle County (IL) mentor site and wanted to know next steps. I reconnected with Dr. Miller and the Captain from the Gallatin PD. They stated that they would not be able to attend a MAT Mentor site visit this year.
Scott met with Kash and Matt per Scott's request. Scott discussed two related challenges. First, Community Memorial Health System (CMHS), the re-entry provider agency, is seeking a 25% per year increase in funding for the next two fiscal years. Second, we reviewed Community Memorial Health System (CMHS) data presented to Scott and discussed how best to view the data. The data collection time frame is 10/1/2023 through 3/30/2024.
Grantee program director requests visiting the mentor site at the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department doing MAT. Requests two participants attend, Wendy Doolittle and Dan DeArmond. Follow up sent to Kash. Grantee will be attending the Hampden County MAT Mentor Site visit on June 20-21.
The grantee wanted to connect with us to discuss some grant award modifications they want to submit, including changing the Project Director and removing a grant goal of working with the juvenile population. Grantee has been unable to find traction with work among the juvenile population and would like to utilize resources in a different area.
The grantee requests knowing when the new FY24 COSSUP RFP is coming out.
