The Little Rock, Arkansas Public Safety Partnership (PSP) site requested Blue Courage training for school resource officers (SROs). Blue Courage Inc. was selected as the provider for this engagement and BJA NTTAC is coordinating the training which is expected to take place in March 2018 in Little Rock, Arkansas.

The St. Louis, Missouri Circuit Attorney’s Office, as part of the St. Louis Public Safety Partnership site, requested technical training and assistance with Social Networking Analysis (SNA) via the open-source software, Pajek. BJA is currently considering this request.

The Bureau of Justice Assistance requested travel support for attendees to participate in the Violent Crime Reduction Strategic Development State and Local Government Working Group Meeting. BJA NTTAC provided travel support to 38 attendees to attend the meeting on August 2, 2017 in Long Beach, California.

The Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) requested travel support for a select number of law enforcement executives, community stakeholders, and other justice practitioners to attend the U.S. Department of Justice National Summit on Crime Reduction and Public Safety. BJA NTTAC provided travel support for 99 individuals to attend the event from June 19-21, 2017 in Bethesda, Maryland.

The City of Gary, Indiana requested training support under their comprehensive violence prevention strategy work to establish a therapeutic determent program for young black males in their city. Daryl Turpin of the Pinwheel Group was selected to fulfill the request and facilitated the H.E.A.T. train-the-trainer curriculum to 10 community stakeholders on March 20, 2017 in Gary, Indiana.

George Mason University requested funding to develop an RNR Simulation Tool. BJA NTTAC closed the request on August 30, 2017. BJA NTTAC will re-open the request on August 31, 2017 under the Option Year 1 contract.
