George Mason University requested funding to develop an RNR Simulation Tool. BJA NTTAC closed the request on August 30, 2017. BJA NTTAC will re-open the request on August 31, 2017 under the Option Year 1 contract.
The RNR Simulation Tool has a Program Tool that evaluates the quality of the program and also assigns a program to different categories based on target behaviors that are addressed. It is an on-line survey that takes about 60-90 minutes, and it gives scores in 6 categories (risk principle, need principle, responsivity, implementation, staffing, integrated care, dosage, restrictiveness, reentry) and then scores in these different areas. And, it provides a list of areas to help improve the programs (for strategic plans). George Mason University (GMU) would like to add to the toolkit to include a Supervision Tool that scores the use of evidence-based supervision, gives scores and provides areas/ideas for improvement. GMU seeks funding to host a meeting to develop the tool, test it out in 2-3 areas, and develop the scoring.
