OC wanted to know how to change the level of effort for Alicia. Julia told them they would need to submit a GAN to change her time spent on SAKI, and to use SAKI funds to use her time more. OC also wanted to know if they could apply for FY18 funding for increasing their lab capacity. Julia directed them to FY17 language and said they would need to speak to BJA for further clarification when the FY18 solicitation drops.

Michael requested guidance for responding to a question regarding the timing of testing SAKs. He wanted to help his prosecutors provide an appropriate answer when they are asked about testing kits after having them go untested for long periods of time and why would someone want to go back and look at cases that are sometimes more than 10 years old.

During the January 2018 Check-in, CT's site coordinator was planning for the first meeting of their working group, and SAKI TTA wants to send a few resources to help with their conversations.
