In collaboration with the National Sheriff's Association, the National PREA Resource Center presented updated information on resources for PREA implementation including the audit process. Practical recommendations for PREA implementation will also be addressed.

Presentation to ASCA members during the Winter ASCA meeting at the ACA conference. PREA Resource Center staff coordinated the information and assisted BJA staff in the presentation of the information.

Conference hosted by the International Association of Chiefs of Police. The PRC was invited to address the attendees on PREA to further promote PREA and gain buy-in for implementation at the local law enforcement level.

This dynamic course of instruction is designed to prepare the first responder to isolate, distract, and neutralize an active shooter. The course curriculum includes weapon manipulation, threshold evaluation, concepts and principles of team movement (including solo officer strategies), setting up for room entry and room entry techniques, approach and breaching the crisis site, follow-on responder tactics, improvised explosive devices (IED's), and post-engagement priorities of work.

NCJTC staff and consultant provided a webinar in cooperation with

SEPTA completed their policy drafts addressing PREA compliance and are requesting
technical assistance in having them reviewed to ensure compliance with the
standards.

Provide coaching support to the KS DOC as they implement the activities outlined in their FY'11 BJA PREA grant.

To support the mission of the Tribal Youth Police Academy, the IASA program provided a cultural leader to teach sessions to youth attendees that were culturally appropriate.

Provide coaching support to AL DOC as they implement their goals and objectives as part of their FY11 BJA PREA grant.

On September 15, 2014, the PRC and AJA sponsored training and technical assistance to the Virginia Sheriffs' Association at their conference in Virginia Beach, VA.
