The Alabama SAA reached out asking about a specific program that another state implemented with SCIP funding. I shared the necessary information along with the exact subaward so they could get the specific information they sought.

Our contact in MD reached out asking for an updated copy of the SCIP subaward summary so she could have examples of what other states are funding with their SCIP dollars. They also asked us which of the states have ERPOs, so we provided that information.

NCJA presented an overview of Byrne SCIP to the American Samoa Advisory Board.
In addition, NCJA shared multiple subaward examples based on interest stemming from the SCIP presentation we shared.

We met with Oregon's SAA office to discuss CPTED; we also discussed other priority areas for SCIP funding in hopes that they will be able to resubmit their plan to BJA soon. OR also asked about CVI related subawards in other states, so we sent OR a host of information about subawards that were specifically related to CVI.

We checked in with RI and offered to meet with them. We also shared examples of 4 program plans from other states as well as shared the SCIP subaward summary, clarified the guidelines related to the "under $10K" locations, and shared the RI statewide stakeholder criminal justice survey analysis that NCJA conducted earlier in the year. We also presented to the RI SCIP Advisory Board and answered questions about types of programming that would likely be allowable under SCIP.

KY reached out with multiple questions about the appropriateness of various potential subawards and also a question about administering funds within the "under $10K" area. We spoke on the phone on 10/22, then had several email exchanges about these topics. I also shared several examples of subawards that were well formatted and had a good amount of detail, and shared a subaward that pertained to IPV.

NCJA shared examples of strong program plans from two states and again offered to meet with their Advisory Board once it is formed. It is our hope that the examples we've provided will provide the structure and content examples that PR can benefit from to successfully meet the requirements for the Board.

Alaska SAA's office asked for support deciding whether a proposed subaward program would be appropriate for SCIP. We discussed the merits of the program and how it aligned with the SCIP priorities.
