The Socorro, Texas Police Department's request has been referred to IIR for fulfillment under IIR's SLATT Regional Trainings BJA NTTAC engagement. It is anticipated that one or more representatives from the Socorro PD will be supported to attend a forthcoming SLATT regional workshop in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area in September 2018.
The Detroit Police Department is requested training assistance in the Nobility of Policing content for their entire agency of 1,400 officers. FranklinCovey was selected to fulfil the materials purchase portion of this request, and provided materials for the training courses to occur in the Summer of 2018.
We request TTA in Insight Policing, an observation, communication and questioning strategy for law enforcement that builds on the theory and science of how we think and make decisions when we react to conflict situations.
The Socorro, Texas Police Department requested training related to intelligence gathering methods for first responders, crime analysis, anti-terrorism, and infrastructure protection. The request was referred to the Institute for Intergovernmental Research (IIR), who will be the primary TTA provider for hosting 4 regional SLATT trainings in late 2018, including one session in the DFW metro area of Texas.

Momentum for Mental Health requested information on Assertive Community Treatment training. BJA NTTAC provided the requited with a list of provider that may offer that training in their area.
The Compton, California, Public Safety Partnership site requested Crime Prevention through Environmental Design (CPTED) training. Provider selection and training are being determined.
We are looking for training on locating, applying for and implementing grants for the Richmond Police Department. I understand a Mark Fero and Albert Stokes are teaching some of these classes in the state of Virginia. I would like to request their class on grants and grant writing.
As commander of the Richmond Police Training Academy, I would be willing to host the training here at our facility and allow regional partners to attend to also receive this training.
The Memphis, Tennessee Police Department (PD), as part of the Memphis Public Safety Partnership (PSP) site, requested an assessment of its Gang Unit to lead to an increased understand of best practice for responding to gang activity and identifying areas of potential growth in MPDs plan for prevention, intervention, and suppression. Dr. Charles Katz was selected to fulfill the request, and conducted an assessment through several onsite visits. The assessment occurred in February 2018, and a final report was delivered to Memphis PD in March 2018.
Marion PD is requesting that a seasoned law enforcement or business professional teach us the basics of developing a strategic plan and the strategic plan implementation process, and how that process helps us grow as an agency.
