On-Site Services

The Davis County, Utah Pretrial Service Division requested assistance to implement a pretrial diversion team, review data collection, and identify customized decision-making framework for a strategic plan and mission. BJA NTTAC denied this request.

BJA requested Joan Brody to conduct a strategic grants assessment for the Anniston Police Department.

The Coconino County, Arizona Sheriff's Office requested support in hosting host an on-site training that broadly addresses common Sovereign ideology as well as best practices when contacting known or suspected Sovereigns. The requestor withdrew the request.

The Navarro County, Texas Court requested an on-site evaluation of processes of defendants from arrest, prosecution, adjudication, and final disposition in the Navarro County Courthouse, Sheriff's department, City police agency, magistrates. The Center for Court Innovation was selected as the provider for this engagement and conducted an observational assessment of the Navarro County judicial system to better understand case processing and other operational factors that may be contributing to jail overcrowding, noncompliance, or other unsatisfactory outcomes.

We request TTA in Insight Policing, an observation, communication and questioning strategy for law enforcement that builds on the theory and science of how we think and make decisions when we react to conflict situations.

The Nashville Public Safety Partnership Site requested Technical Assistance to assist with the implementation of innovative crime reduction strategies based on the collective efficacy theory. BJA NTTAC contracted with Justice & Security Strategies inc. to provide this technical assistance.

The Compton, California, Public Safety Partnership site requested Crime Prevention through Environmental Design (CPTED) training. The Compton PSP site withdrew this request.

The Wilmington, Delaware Police Department requested CPTED training and assessment training. The Western Community Policing Institute was selected as the provider for this request and delivered CPTED training and assessment training.

Stewart Bruce was selected to fulfill the request and delivered the final report on October 1, 2018.

Chicago Police Department requests

Chicago Police Department (PD) requested on-site and remote technical assistance from Joan Brody to develop a FFY18 grant strategy, identify new FFY18 public and private grant opportunities, and provide guidance on approaches for future grant submissions. The requestor withdrew the request.
