Met with Hope at CHJ-TASC and Mickenzie to
discuss collaboration on an article. Discussed ideas and ultimately decided to write a Promising Practices Brief on Integration of Peers within Police Departments. Discussed potential outline and set a goal to complete the article by mid-August. Plan that I will send out outline notes for review and edit. Then we will discuss sections each agency will be responsible for.

Roberto Alvear traveled to Puerto Rico and facilitated a
half day SIM training for the ASSMCA team. He discussed the SIM model, the different intercepts, and how ASSMCA fit into this model. He provided case studies and interactive discussion.

Staci reached out for TA. She is a peer working in a
hospital system. She stated she is having difficulty getting the administration at the hospital she works for to allow distribution of Narcan. Discussed barriers to distribution Narcan and concerns sited by administration. Problem solved ways in which she may research existing laws, researching what other systems in her area are doing, and the researching the financial and physical burden lifted when EDs experience less overdose cases. Will make connection with PRSSMI site, UT Houston.

Met with Shelly Bornstein of Hope Coalition (mentee)
and Michelle Geiser of Hope United (mentor) for first consultation session. During the meeting Shelly asked questions of Michelle regarding adding a new peer to the team and how to keep culture going, self-care, rules, etc. I facilitated conversation.
