The Oregon Board of Parole and Post-Prison Supervision requested training on implicit bias. This engagement was referred to the OJP Diagnostic Center in January 2017.

The Middle Atlantic States Correctional Association (MASCA) draws our membership from correctional professionals in all fields of institutional and community corrections as well as juvenile justice agencies in the states listed above. MASCA holds an annual training conference to provide speakers and workshops on a variety of topics of interest to our membership. This year the annual conference will be held in Ocean City, MD, from June 12 to 15, 2016. We are requesting a speaker or panel to discuss issues related to human trafficking.

In 2009, the average ratio of officers to citizens in the US was about 2.3 officers per one thousand residents. One in four adults, approximately 61.5 million Americans experiences mental illness in a given year.
