In May, CSG Justice Center staff continued to socialize the guidelines and engage key partners in the field, conduct screening consultations for new technical assistance (TA) requests, provide TA to selected states, collaborate with stakeholders around topics for the second virtual peer session taking place in June, and further identify project next steps. Throughout the month, the project team worked on opportunities to advance communication of the project and coordinate conference presentations.

Objective 2: Technology Development Technical Assistance In June, Recidiviz rolled out the administrative supervision tool to 15 additional trusted testers in PA. Recidiviz is awaiting feedback on functionality and general changes needed as these testers utilize the tool.

Objective 1: Individualized Technical Assistance to Grantees In June, CSG Justice Center staff continued to meet with PADOC regarding staffing changes within the agency. Until the grants manager position is refilled full-time, the grant is currently being transitioned to two grant managers. Within the next month, PADOC will be experiencing upper management staffing changes, yet that news has not been made public to date.

Objective 2: Technology Development Technical Assistance In May, Recidiviz conducted front- and back-end engineering for the administrative supervision tool, as well as engagement with "trusted testers" to get feedback on the appearance and functionality of the tool. Engineering work this month focused on solving a data error that resulted in people with ineligible charges appearing in the tool, as well as on developing an understanding of the impact special conditions have on administrative supervision eligibility.

Objective 1: Individualized Technical Assistance to Grantees In May, CSG Justice Center staff continued to meet with PADOC regarding staffing changes occurring withing the agency. The grants manager transitioned from her DOC position and the grant is currently being transitioned to a new grants manager. The primary contact for the grant was promoted to Interim District Director while the current Director is out on leave. In response, a case manager at the PADOC Pittsburgh District will attend monthly calls.

Objective 1: Individualized Technical Assistance to Grantees InIn June, CSG Justice Center Staff continued to meet monthly with NY DOCCS staff to discuss the project. NY DOCCS has completed the scope of work and is waiting for the Contract Procurement Unit (CPU) to review and approve the RFP to be tentatively released on June 30. In order to adhere to the timeline provided and reduce additional steps, NY DOCCS has included in the RFP that applicants share information that would be presented at the Vendor Conferences in August.

Objective 2: Technology Development Technical Assistance In May, CSG Justice Center staff continued to meet with NY DOCCS staff to discuss the project. NY DOCCS began collaborating with the Contractor Procurement Unit (CPU) to create the scope of work for the RFP that will be tentatively released on June 30. NY DOCCS plans to streamline the approval process to release the RFP by working conjointly with the CPU.

Priority Area 1: Assist the three delivery systems with identifying strategies and developing comprehensive equitable statewide supervision recommendations and definitions for community supervision.
Update: In June, the Community Supervision Advisory Committee (CSAC) approved moving forward the Intensive Supervised Release (ISR) supervision guidelines to the MN DOC Commissioner for approval. The guidelines were part of the JRI Phase II administrative work in 2022/2023. If approved, the ISR guidelines will be put into policy statewide.
