Due to a growing number of information and referral calls coming into NCCJD about sex offender issues, the Center created a subcommittee on the topic formed by parents of teens or adult children who have been charged with a sex offense or are on the sex offender registry. NCCJD is supporting the committee to organize on this issue and provides technical assistance in this effort. To date a total of 5 individuals have joined the subcommittee (June 2016).

CSG Justice Center staff participated in VA?DJJ's first ever reentry summit, in which state leaders will come together to review and be trained on the new policies and procedures developed through JSR. CSG Justice Center staff presented on the core principles.

CSG Justice Center staff met with Halbert Sullivan and colleagues to discuss sustainability and issues with retaining fathers in the program post release. Staff discussed the program's future and the challenges of working within the jail and with a randomized control trial, which they had already submitted a GAN?to change. Mr. Sullivan explained that current participants, even after the award period ends, will still be served by Fathers Support Center.?
