Two Center staff members visited the Community Domestic Violence Advocacy Program. The Center staff met with tribal program staff, toured the facility, and provided them with updates on the profile that was provided by the tribe.

AEquitas recently developed and presented a webinar with the Temple Institute on Disabilities for Pennsylvania professionals that we are hoping to re-present for a national audience on prosecuting crimes of sexual violence against victims with developmental disabilities. NCCJD co-presented this webinar with AEquitas.

Throughout the month of July, 2015, NCJA continued to provide technical assistance to the GA SAA staff via phone calls and emails, providing information, guidance, and sample documents to inform the state’s strategic planning process. SAA reports the planning project was completed successfully.

The Arc local chapter in AL and Second Chance (the local domestic violence shelter) requested NCCJD's input re: creating a coordinated community-wide response in serving crime victims with disabilities. Specific strategies and models were discussed, specifically the Pathways to Justice model being used by NCCJD's Disability Response Teams.
