A core piece of the GRA training will be a module that allows students to develop web services and web services clients, using open source frameworks, to implement one or more service specifications. In order to make this an effective part of the training, SEARCH intends to provide students with sample code that students will be able to edit based on provided instruction. The goal of this project is to lay the foundation for this part of the course, which will include developing sample artifacts based on Apache Servicemix and Apache Camel.

The purpose of the project is to support the mission of NAJIS to promote information sharing within the criminal justice and public safety communities. By conducting a success conference, SEARCH and other JTTAC partners gain access to many potential clients for future technical assistance to improve information sharing.

The mission of the Global Strategic Solutions Working Group’s (GSSWG) is to identify high priority information sharing business problems that impact the criminal justice system and develop effective solutions that increase public safety and national security. GSSWG’s identification of these priority business problems is achieved through a systematic process which fully considers the evolving field of technology and the dynamic demands on the justice and public safety enterprise.

The purpose of this project is to provide a forum for the development, vetting, and dissemination of the Global Standards Package, as directed by the Global Advisory Committee. SEARCH staff serves as the vice-chair of the Council. As a result of this project, practitioners and the industry partners that serve them will have an authoritative body of true standards on which to base their information sharing solutions.

Provide Global with Services Task Team (STT) support through team leadership and technical reviews of Service Specification Packages (SSPs). JAN-JUNE 2016 PROGRESS UPDATE: During this reporting period, SEARCH staff completed development and release of four new Global reference service specification packages (SSPs): Juvenile Education History Query/Response, Inmate Status Reporting, Person Photo Search Request and Person Photo SearchResults. All four specifications are now on the Global Information Sharing Toolkit (GIST) website.

to represent SEARCH (staff and Membership) at the highest levels of Global, contributing SEARCH's expertise and experience gained from working on justice information sharing initiatives in the field, and bringing back guidance to influence Membership deliberations and staff work. As a result of this project, the experience and expertise of SEARCH staff will be available to the GAC and GESC, and information disseminated in these important forums will influence SEARCH's work.

Participate in the SAFECOM ERC to promote Global and information sharing as they relate to communications interoperability and the Nationwide Public Safety Broadband Network. JAN-JUNE 2016 PROGRESS UPDATE: SEARCH staff worked with DHS and SAFECOM members during scheduled conference calls and webinars, and reviewed and commented on documents in order to promote Global and information sharing as they relate to communications interoperability and the Nationwide Public Safety Broadband Network.
