Center staff conducted a site visit at the Colorado River Indian Tribe and met with Judge King and the Community Court coordinator, Pete Sabori to discuss community court planning.

Center staff conducted 2 phone calls and 6 email correspondence with the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians to discuss possible locations for a site visit for their DV court advisory board. Center staff suggested other tribal domestic violence programs they could meet with to discuss strategies for implementing culturally responsive programming. Center staff also set up several calls with the LTBBO DV court coordinator and our contacts at 2 other tribal DV programs.

Center staff conducted one phone call and twenty three email correspondence with Mille Lacs discussing questions and structure of the community survey draft. Staff also reviewed the proposed survey draft and gave the team suggestions to tailor the survey.

On November 4-5, in Washington, DC, members of the Global Justice Information Sharing Initiative (Global) Advisory Committee (GAC, Committee) represented their communities at the fall 2015 GAC meeting. With guidance and support from the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA), U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), the GAC is a Federal Advisory Committee to the U.S. Attorney General, providing recommendations on promising national policies, practices, and technologies to solve the most pressing business priorities of the field through better justice information sharing (JIS).
