SEARCH was contacted by the Coconino County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) to develop a solution for the delivery of IT services that would allow Sheriff’s Office IT staff to: 1) troubleshoot and fix network and application issues pertaining to Sheriff operations as they arise without having to rely on county managed systems or staff; and 2) maintain connectivity with county enterprise systems such as the countywide email system, the Board of Supervisors’ agenda and meeting system and county payroll and financial systems.
SEARCH met via phone with project stakeholders and discussed strategies to address their concerns including utilizing ITSM to document requirements and needs. Upon receiving this information and meeting with the County IT staff, the county proposed a plan to separate county IT and public safety IT services that was satisfactory to CCSO. CCSO stated that SEARCH's willingness to become involved, conduct a site visit and gather information helped move CCSO concerns and requests to the next level of action.
