SEARCH staff participated in a multi-jurisdictional information sharing planning meeting that included representatives from Richmond Police Department, Oakland Police Department, Alameda County Sheriff's Office, the Drug Enforcement Agency, and the Bureau of Justice Assistance. The meeting participants provided overviews of their respective information sharing capabilities and initiatives and discussed opportunities to enhance cross-jurisdictional sharing of information to reduce violent crimes. The meeting participants agreed to further explore governance options and conduct technology assessments to leverage and enhance information sharing efforts.
SEARCH staff conducted a site visit with the Alameda County Sheriff's Office (ACSO) and Richmond Police Department (RPD) to assess their current technology and information sharing efforts to reduce crime in the Oakland and Richmond areas.

SEARCH delivered the final project report to the client on July 22, 2016, and has put the project on hold pending further direction from BJA.
