The PSAC has been established by FirstNet as a nationwide body to represent all disciplines of public safety as well as state, territorial, tribal, and local governments. SEARCH will Establish a sustainable on-going partnership in support of FirstNet that helps improve public safety broadband capabilities nationwide as well as improve information sharing, reduce response times, increase situational awareness, and save lives. JULY-DECEMBER 2015 PROGRESS UPDATE: SEARCH staff worked with PSAC members during scheduled conference calls, webinars, and the FirstNet PSAC face-to-face meetings in Houston, TX on December 7, 2015 - December 10, 2015. The PSAC meeting was attended by 40 PSAC members and FirstNet staff. Staff participated in PSAC discussions and presentations and reviewed documents in order to assist the First Responder Network Authority to carry out its duties and responsibilities as required by Public Law 112-96. Staff also provided updates via blogposts on the SEARCH Membership web portal.
