During this reporting period NCJA worked with the SAA to finalize their 2014 Byrne JAG Stakeholder Survey Report and prepare for a strategic planning session with HI's statewide coordinating body. The coordinating body accepted the survey and its conclusions which resulted in the inclusion of the Prevention and Education purpose area into the states 2015-2018 Byrne JAG Strategic Plan.
During this reporting period NCJA worked with the SAA to think through the development of their strategic plan. In addition to sending them a variety of strategic plans NCJA staff consulted with SAA staff on how they could formulate a funding strategy to meet their planning bodies identified needs. In specific NCJA staff provided HI with examples of the types of programs that would meet multiple identified JAG priorities. Outside of these conversations staff worked with the SAA to identify core of strategic plans elements (executive summary, discussion of CJ data, discussion stakeholder engagement strategy, identification of priorities and the identification of a funding strategy) to help them identify what was important to add and what they can leave out.
