IJIS received a subaward from IIR on September 1, 2023, to support three independent efforts related to RxCheck. The efforts include support to and maintenance of the RxCheck Hub, support to the tribal integration project, and support to eHealth Exchange Integration.
During this reporting period, IJIS continued to work to develop integrations of non-IHS tribal health care entities. The CDC, which partially funds the integration work, has advised IJIS to move forward with the integration of the Denver Indian Health and Family Service with agreement to integrate with RxCheck through the Colorado PDMP. IJIS team members are also engaged in discussions with tribal entities in Nebraska and New York regarding integrations.
Also during this reporting period, the IJIS team continued its work on eHealth Exchange Integration. Live patient data has been shared from the eHealth health care entity (HCE) through RxCheck to a state PDMP in the test environment; however, the project is on hold pending BJA’s signing of the eHealth Data Use and Reciprocal Support Agreement (DURSA). Once that is signed and fees are paid to the eHealth Exchange, the IJIS team will complete the live transaction in production. The IJIS team prepared a presentation for BJA leadership outlining the benefits to users of moving the transaction to production. The presentation included a proposal to get the DURSA signed.
