SEARCH has been asked by BJA to provide TA to Detroit under the Violence Reduction Network program. SEARCH has participated in planning meetings held during June 2015 to identify TA opportunities and "quick wins" for improved information sharing. During the most recent call (June 19), SEARCH provided an update on its work with Michigan State Police to automate the warrant process. Detroit stakeholders expressed interest in participating in this project. Staff completed assisting BJA evaluate information sharing opportunities in Detroit as part of the Violence Reduction Network program. Having completed the evaluation process, SEARCH will continue its work with BJA and Detroit by providing further direct assistance under grant number 2012-DP-BX-K006.
