The goal of SEARCH's participation on the Global XML Structure Task Force (XSTF) is to provide governance of the justice community's component of the National Information Exchange Model (NIEM). This includes reviewing and approving any practitioner-suggested revisions to the justice specific content in NIEM, which is a fundamental component of the overall NIEM governance process and ensures the content and structure of the NIEM model continues to meet practitioner needs. Successful participation in the XSTF includes participating in working sessions, conference calls, and addressing specific practitioner raised issues and presenting solutions to the XSTF for review and approval. The overall all success of the XSTF and NIEM initiatives depend solutions to issues raised by the public safety community, and providing these solutions increase the adoption, utility, and practicality of national level standards.JAN-JUNE 2016 PROGRESS UPDATE: During this reporting period there were no activities to report.
