Met with site as a general check in. Site provided updates on their tasks. 1) They have bought their computers to meet the needs of their new LIMS. 2) Hired a new lab member. 3) Met with Howard University to work on data sharing and presentation to students. Will be meeting with them again at the end of Q1. 4) As they are no longer working towards a LSS system (too difficult to fund/implement), the site is looking for options to spend down funds. They're looking to apply for a 1 year NCE and have a 'wishlist' of items they'd like to purchase for their LIMS that they're hoping to use SAKI funds for - with BJA approval. ALSO, the site did apply for the FY22 grant but had difficulties applying (main POC is not a grant manager). RTI to indicate to POC that they should ask for a debrief which can help with future COSSAP/BJA grant applications.
10/27: Indicated to site that they should reach out to BJA with the wishlist for BJA to approve as allowable funds. Also indicated to site that they could request a debrief to learn what to do differently for their next COSSAP grant application.
10/31: Site POC noted that even within JustGrants she cannot see any indication she applied for the FY22 grant. I asked her to reach out to her grant manager for this (Aja) while cc'ing me and Michelle White.
