NW3C will send Randy Stickley to provide a presentation/training to an international audience of crime and intelligence analysts. The presentation to be presented is entitled "Understanding Nefarious Communication Networks: Utilizing Link Analysis to Diagram and Diagnose Criminal Organizations." The presentation is described as, "Understanding how illicit networks communicate, associate, and socialize in today's world is a key security threat toward law enforcement, public safety, as well as homeland and national security. However, nefarious actors leave a variety of clues that allow us to diagnose and diagram their networks; be it social media posts, hash values, IP addresses, or other forms of digital data. Agencies devote considerable measures toward investigation and analysis of such groups to provide accurate and timely answers to such intelligence challenges. Utilization of link analysis, the most basic form of law enforcement intelligence, can be blended with digital evidence and cyber data to better understand a target network."
