Abusive Head Trauma: Current Courtroom Trends: The prosecution of abusive head trauma increasingly involves expert opinions for and against a medical finding of abuse or inflicted trauma. This presentation covers the history of defense attacks on the diagnosis and explains potential inadequacies with several of the more common theories and studies relied on by defense experts. The presenters will demonstrate methods to combat defense assertions in court from the legal and medical perspectives while providing strategies and techniques for court preparation and courtroom presentation of medical evidence and testimony.
