The NCRJ held “Reimagining Justice" a restorative justice art contest which culminated in a virtual art gallery of the submissions along with artists’ statements in celebration of International Restorative Justice Week in November 2020. We received 23 submissions from around the world and over 900 people voted for Viewers' Choice Awards. The winning artists were featured in a piece on the VLS website and invited to participate in a live Q&A as part of the European Forum for Restorative Justice's REstART Festival.

A call for submissions to the Art Contest was developed as well as a general plan for the Art Show during International Restorative Justice Week and Viewers' Choice voting. This proposal was submitted to BJA for approval and approval was received.
The art contest was advertised to an international audience through various restorative justice networks and 23 submissions were received from all over the world with artist statements. These submissions were organized and an online gallery of the images was built on the Vermont Law School website. A Google form was also built to allow gallery visitors to vote for Viewers' Choice awards.
The art show was publically available for International Restorative Justice Week (Nov. 15th-22nd, 2020). Over 900 people voted in the Viewers' Choice Awards. The gallery of images is still available to view at https://www.vermontlaw.edu/rj-art-submissions.
The artists with the most votes in the Viewers' Choice Awards were interviewed for a feature on their experiences and artistic process. The feature was written and published on the Vermont Law School website (https://vermontlaw.edu/rj-art).
We were invited to host a live Q&A with the Viewers' Choice Award Winners as part of the European Forum for Restorative Justice's REstART Festival. A recording of this event is available here: https://vimeo.com/502136264/42ea81fac2
