A recent significant achievement is the merge of 9 or 10 data bases containing PREA-related information to one location. Funds that were not needed for the telephone reporting system were allocated to a mapping system.
PREA education is now a component of in-service training for probation staff and volunteers.
The site continues to progress toward attaining its goals. During August, the LGBTI training schedule continues with sessions for facility directors and regional administrators, facility compliance managers and program coordinators, and intake staff. The PREA Coordinator will present the first LGBTI policy to the executive team on September 8.
The PREA Coordinator previewed the LGBTI training schedule in 2016. On-line training is mandated for the approximately 4000 staff members. There is an 80% passing grade or staff is required to repeat the training; an electronic signature confirms attendance
The grant modification was approved. The site will focus remaining grant funds on a three–phase mapping program to be completed by August 2016.
