Jon Adler, Director of BJA, and Deputy Chief Sean Malinowski of the LAPD provided introductory remarks. Then-U.S. Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein provided introductory remarks on day 2 of the conference. Subsequent topics included Chief Michel Moore's 2019 vision for the LAPD, building trust and legitimacy, future crimefighting technology, precision policing, integrating the Violent Crime Operations Guide into LAPD's crimefighting infrastructure, and the importance of public safety at the neighborhood level. Attendees from PSP sites were funded by NTTAC.
