NAICJA staff developed and co-presented a 90-minute presentation titled: "Evaluating Your Program for Effectiveness: Research and Evaluation Tools to Help Meet Your Deliverables and Sustain Your Program" at the 16th National Indian Nations Conference on December 5, 2018 in Palm Springs:
Presentation Description: Most tribes, tribal courts, and their various programs related to victim’s services are grant funded—either through private or federal funding. We understand the importance of collecting and evaluating program performance milestones and doing so on a very small budget. This session proposes to discuss culturally sensitive research methods (including community-based participatory research), data collection, and evaluation tools to help your program and court report its effectiveness.
