The goal of this project is to assess the current records management system business process, along with the to-be business processes of the Front Royal Police Department; document the business processes; and provide insight to the agency to develop policies and procedures for paperless records management. This will allow the agency to more easily share information both within and outside the agency. During the course of this TTA, SEARCH staff prepared for and traveled to a site visit to Front Royal, VA on 6/17/14 - 6/20/14. During the site visit staff conducted an assessment of business processes and the technology currently used (and planned). Staff met with police department and city IT staff, and the Commonwealth Attorney to discuss information sharing and information technology needs. Staff completed and delivered a technical assistance report and technology services spreadsheet to the point of contact.
