Grantee discussed progress regarding the project and upcoming conference presentations, i.e. APPA's training institute in NYC. Project seems to be on track with the first training, focusing on supervisors, expected to take place in Fall 2017.

Grantee has been working on completing the planning and implementation guide. This discussion allowed CSG staff to review the edits being requested for the P&I guide, as well as a chance for the grantee to ask any outstanding questions. Discussions also covered any updates regarding the project. Grantee has some concerns about being able to recruit once program is implemented, TA staff provided ideas for preparing for that situation, which grantee was receptive to.

CSG staff discussed progress of grant with WI DOC, kickoff date is set for October 2017 and grantee is awaiting materials from research partner for review. Grantee has been working on strengthening relationship with research partner (this was the first in-person meeting) - during the training days, grantee reviewed data collection strategies, timeline for connecting, and ideas for better task management and communication of action items.

Grantee expressed interest in connecting with grantees that are having issues reporting in the PMT system, those focusing on training - TA provider connected grantee with FY16 CT Smart Supervision grant and FY16 WI Smart Supervision grant. They discussed reporting strategies and challenges. Grantees to share questions with TA provider for review during planned PMT webinar in September.

ACA's conventions provide attendees and exhibitors with an opportunity to personally interact with thousands of corrections professionals. At each conference, there are hundreds of workshops, meetings and events, that allow attendees to educate themselves and network.

Research shows that youth who have supportive caregivers have better outcomes than youth with less supportive caregivers. This is true across the juvenile justice, child welfare, behavioral health, and education systems. Youth whose caregivers do not provide consistent structure and support are at far greater risk of engaging in continued delinquent behavior and suffering poor outcomes into adulthood. But practitioners often struggle to implement family engagement and involvement policies and practices effectively.

The Connecticut DOC was preparing to host their kick-off event on September 22nd. In preparation of this event, the CT DOC formed workgroups and coordinated with Richard Stroker and CEPP to finalize plans for training and QA activities. CSG staff discussed with the grantee to discuss the details of the upcoming training, as well as discuss the grantee's use of the LSI-R and the ORAS (SCORES) assessment tools.

CSG Justice Center staff met with Grantee in-person to review progress on the SRR Grant and to discuss panel presentation questions listed below: * Monica and David- What kind of state-level support from the Governor or the SAA do you need to do this type of systems change work and what type of information or data was needed to set them up and increase their buy-in? * David- Nevada developed the Statewide Adult Recidivism Reduction Strategic Plan which was formalized and adopted by Governor Sandoval??s Statewide Re-Entry Task Force in November 2016.

CSG Justice Center staff met with grantee in-person at NCJA conference in Long Beach California. Grantee received NCJA Awards for their former Adult Demonstration grant that funded the High-risk Revocation Reduction Program. CSG Justice Center staff followed up with JC communications division to develop content for highlight/web post about the award.
