Frank Smith contacted CSG Justice Center staff because he was interested in expanding a formerly incarcerated work program from Barnhart?to 12 businesses in Memphis. ?The program would include a coach at each company and would be funded by the businesses. ?They discussed how to structure the program, career paths for workers, and training for staff. ?

The project manager was in DC for another meeting, so we met at a coffee shop for in-person TA. ?The TA provider and grantee discussed effective ways to manage up in the facility to meet the goals of the program. ?Also discussed ways that she might structure her days, such as time outside the facility in order to build relationships with community partners and employers.

During this webinar, FY2017 SCA Strengthening Relationships Between Young Fathers, Young Mothers, and their Children grantees will receive information about the grant program, including development of the Planning and Implementation (P&I) Guide, and grant expectations. Technical assistance providers from the National Reentry Resource Center and representatives from OJJDP will answer questions and discuss resources that are available to grantees.
