This session will identify essential data elements that pretrial justice systems should track and will offer suggestions for how this data can be presented in a useful manner to county leaders.

NLADA will provide training and technical assistance to the Alameda County Public Defender’s Office (ACPDO). Harnessing expert training and technical assistance, the ACPDO will improve our public defense delivery system by implementing a comprehensive pre-arraignment services program.
Alameda County is the only large county out of 58 total counties in California that does not provided access to public defender services pre-arraignment, which is the time from arrest through the initial arraignment hearing before the judge and prosecutor.

Staff presented four sessions in the Mental Health Court (x3) and Co-Occurring Substance Use Disorders (x1) tracks at the National Association of Drug Court Professionals Annual Training Conference, utilizing resources, best practices, and materials from the MHC Curriculum.

CSG Justice Center Staff hosted an exhibitor table at the National Association of Drug Court Professionals (NADCP) Annual Training Conference in Washington, DC in July of 2015. Staff hosted a table for six days and responded to inquiries from attendees, marketed the Curriculum and associated materials, and distributed materials.
